Fabrication process of Flux-Core Wire
The fabrication of a Flux-Core Wire begins with slitting steel coil sheets into precise strips. These strips are then fed through rollers, shaping them into a U-shaped cross-section. During this process, a carefully measured amount of core ingredients is introduced into the formed strip. Next, the U-shaped strip is passed through closing rolls, transforming it into a tube while tightly compressing the granular core material inside. To further refine the wire, the tube undergoes drawing through dies, which not only reduces its diameter but also compacts the core ingredients to eliminate any potential movement within the tube. This meticulous process ensures the integrity and performance of the final flux-core wire.
